The Parish of Carn Brea, which is also known as Illogan South, lies between the towns of Camborne and Redruth. The boundaries of our beat include several villages, hamlets and rural areas as well as the urban area of Pool and Illogan Highway.

We have a high number of visitors due to the mining heritage sites around the area.

There are 3,200 homes and in addition we have a population of 12,000 people, a world Heritage Site, a college and three schools. There is also a leisure centre, plenty of retail outlets and some spectacular scenery. The view from Carn Brea is particularly stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset.

The Carn Brea Great Flat Lode Trail encompasses the villages of Four Lanes, Carnkie, Brea,Carn Brea Village  and Pool, which is widely used by walkers, horse riders and cyclists throughout the year.
