I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Instow and Fremington contain perhaps some of the most beautiful local sites ranging from Fremington Quay to Instow Beach. The area is busy in the summer with people making good use of the Tarka Trail, local beaches as well as the local pubs, restaurants and shops.  The area has a vibrant community active from all ages from the local Parish councilors through to youth groups and local village schools. Not to mention a close relationship with the local Royal Marine base.

Beyond the coastline are the busy farms and outlying villages. This really is one of the nicest parts of North Devon within which to live or work.  We feel very privileged being able to work with this community in such a wonderful environment.

Your designated officers for contact with your local policing team are:

PC 6077 Lucy Robinson and PCSO’s 30433 Debbie Bolsom and 30416 Simon Barrett
