EllacombeThis area is mainly residential with a small number of local businesses. In terms of properties, there is a mixture of privately owned multi occupancy accommodation and high proportion of rented accommodation, which means there is a high turn over of new residents in the area.

Housing associations also provide accommodation for a percentage of residents in Ellacombe. There is a varying age range in residents in Ellacombe from young to elderly. There are two primary schools on the beat, Ellacombe Church Primary and Babbacombe. Westlands Secondary School is just off the beat but a school where the majority of teenagers from the patch attend.
