Oldham West is a diverse neighbourhood that consists of five communities that include Bardsley & Hatershaw, Coldhurst, Werneth, Coppice and Fitton Hill communities. The area hugs the south and west of the town centre, with housing typical of northern industrial towns where textiles and mining were the main industries.
