In September 2011, Other Crime was divided into 6 categories - Drugs, Public Disorder & Weapons (which was later split further and so is not displayed here), Criminal Damage & Arson (CD&A), Theft - Shoplifting, Theft-Other and Other.

From May 2013, the following changes were made to the crime categories:
I) The violent crime category was renamed "violence and sexual offences"
2) A new category for "bicycle theft" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"
5) Both "other firearms offences" and "other knives offences" which were in "other crime" were moved into "possession of weapons".

Gosport Town Centre & Anglesey neighbourhood areas covers to the east of the Gosport Peninsula south to Gilkicker, west to Anglesey Road & north to the Millennium Bridge. The retail centre for the Town is located here and three national supermarkets are located within the town together with a variety of smaller retail units.
Within the town Centre there are a number of public houses together with two nightclubs- Emmas & Mood ease.
The current housing & retail entertainment development is Clarence Marina-abutting the North east peninsula of the district. This is an almalgamation of expensive housing, high quality restaurants and bars. Providing employment opportunities for local people.
The transport hub for Gosport is situated at Gosport Ferry gardens- including the Bus Station, The Ferry Terminal to Portsmouth and Portsmouth Harbour Train Station and the main taxi rank.
Coastal Activities there are a number of military & recreational establishments.
Housing is made up of private & social housing.
