Brief History and Overview
Holbury is a village on the Eastern side of the New Forest. It is part of the parish of Fawley and is included in the Waterside area of the New Forest.

Historically a small and scarcely populated village, Holbury and the adjoining hamlet of Hardley now boast a sizeable population and a considerable number of shops and businesses. This growth has been principally due to the influence of the Esso oil refinery at Fawley and the areas proximity to the city of Southampton.
Living in the Neighbourhood

Holbury, in the latest Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD), was ranked in England 26710 out of 32,482, where 1 was the most deprived and 32,482 the least.

This is broken down further by income employment education, skills health barriers to housing and services the living environment and crime (England).
