The Bulwell Beat encompasses the Snapewood estate, Coventry Road estate and the Commercial Road area up to Ravensworth Road. It also covers the housing on both sides of Hoewood Road as well as the Greasley Street Industrial area and part of the Blenheim Industrial estate. It is the largest geographical beat in the area and comprises around 2,300 dwelling houses.

There are two local education authority schools in the area they are called the Rufford Junior and Infant school which is situated on Hoewood Road and Snapewood Junior school on Aspen Road.

The area has 3 places of worship which are St John The Devine church, which is situated off Keys Close. The Vicarage and Community Centre linked with the church are located on Snapewood Road. There is a methodist church on Ravensworth Road and the Bulwell Christian Fellowship is on Strelley Street.
