The area of Denewood is situated within the Bilborough ward of Nottingham city, and is about four miles away from the City Centre of Nottingham. Harvey Hadden sports complex is at the centre of the area. There are three primary schools within the area, and a secondary school, Hadden Park. There is a small shopping complex on Ambergate Road consisting of a post office, general store, off licence, and hairdresser's .The Beechdale public House is the only licensed premises within the area. There is a newsagents and fast food outlet on Chingford Road. The Denewood Centre on Denewood Crescent offers a conference room, a social services office, and an educational establishment.
