In September 2011, Other Crime was divided into 6 categories - Drugs, Public Disorder & Weapons (PD&W), Criminal Damage & Arson (CD&A), Theft - Shoplifting, Theft-Other and Other. In order to avoid confusion, UKCrimeStats has renamed the original "Other" category as "Other Total" which is the sum of these 6 and this is what is displayed from December 2010 to August 2011

The Economic Policy Centre www.economicpolicycentre.com has made every effort in order to ensure that the data for UkCrimeStats is accurate and up to date. However, we are aware of certain deficiencies in this data which are beyond our control. That's because as a 3rd party developer, we do not collect the data, the Police do who then hand it over to another data company to release to 3rd party developers such as ourselves. The Melton and Musters beat borders the town centre. The area mainly consists of housing, which is bordered by Loughborough Rd, Boundary Road and Stamford Road. The population is 4,000. It also has a lot of properties, which have been converted into flats and bedsits, which house mainly University students. The beat also contains a primary school and Rushcliffe Comprehensive school, which are also a leisure facility and a National Gymnastics Centre.

Update from Inspector Hallam

As discussed at the last priority setting meeting we will be holding one area group meeting to discuss issues and priorities for the following beat areas:
Edwalton, Gamston, Lutterell, Compton Acres, Ladybay, Abbey, Melton, Musters and Trent Bridge.
This meeting will replace the previous local area group meetings (LAGS) held by the individual beat managers on a quarterly basis. The beat managers will still be present at this meeting and will give an update on each area.
In addition your local safer neighbourhood team (beat manager and PCSO's) will still be available to attend local meetings such as neighbourhood watch etc to discuss and deal with other local issues.
As requested by the local community and neighbourhood watch this priority setting meeting will be an evening meeting and this will be held in the West Bridgford Community Hall, Church Drive, West Bridgford (next to the Police Station) between 7.30-8.30pm.
The first meeting of this type will be on Monday 15th April 2013 and we look forward to seeing you there.
