Newcastle South covers the suburbs of Newcastle, Clayton and Seabridge. They are largely well populated quiet residential areas within a few miles of the town centre.



There are two secondary schools, Clayton Hall Business and Language College which was developed on the site of the 19th century Clayton Hall and Newcastle Community school situated in the heart of the Westlands.
There are also a number of primary and nursery schools to serve local families. There are a host of other local amenities including shops, pubs, parks, libraries and health clinics.
