The team are very committed to reduce Anti-social behaviour and Crime within the Watcombe area. Watcombe area itself is quite large and is flanked at the top by Great Hill Road and at the bottom end by Happaway Road. Barton Hill Road and Teignmouth Road run down each side to enclose the patch. The majority of properties in the area are owner occupied but there is also a large amount of Housing, provided by sanctuary, Westward, and Sovereign Housing. There are three schools in the area; all of these are located in Moor Lane. Watcombe itself has always had a problem with Anti-social behaviour however over the last few years we have been working closely with multi agencies such as the Council Street Wardens, local housing authorities and Safer Communities Torbay to reduce crime trends and anti-social behaviour. Multi-Agency working is a major part of our patch and we continue to work hard to help make Watcombe an enjoyable and safe place to live.
