Its people can lay claim to one of world&#8217;s greatest postwar economic growth and freedom stories that is tragically being undone by authoritarianism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a separate note, just over a year ago, we decided to offer GoCardless as a payment solution which for us had the benefit of charging much lower fees than PayPal for recurring payments. I was even tempted to close down PayPal completely. I&#8217;m now glad I didn&#8217;t because we now have a lot of new members originating from Hong Kong who can&#8217;t actually use GoCardless with Hong Kong Dollars.
