3) A new category for "theft from the person" was created which previously fell within "other theft"
4) Public disorder and weapons were then split into two new categories; "public order" and "possession of weapons"

Looe policing area is made up of the town of Looe and its surrounding nine Parishes

Starting from the west and working clockwise around the town we have Polperro, Lanteglos, St Veep, St Winnow, Pelynt, Lanreath, Duloe, Morval and St Martin

The Looe area covers just over 20,000 h/a of land with the population standing at just under 13,000 people (per 2011 survey). Each individual parish has it’s own challenges and for this purpose there are four officers dedicated in the neighbourhood team at Looe to cover them.

PC Mark Roberts and PCSO's Cocks, Billing and Evans are not only working towards making the parishes safer, but are also engaging with each community to strengthen links with the police. The rural parishes are alike in being predominantly residential, but each village differs in the type of community member living there.

Looe is a beautiful seaside town, safe, with low crime levels and the entire area is a very popular tourist destination.
