Berry Head with Furzeham is the largest ward in the Brixham Policing Sector and is also the busiest.  PC Dave Thomas is the Neighbourhood Beat Manager for the patch and is supported by PCSO's Karl Copik and Abi Seaman.

Berry Head with Furzeham ward includes Brixham Community College, Furzeham Primary School, Berry Head Country Park and the town centre.  Tradionally, in the run up to Christmas, shoplifting increases. To combat this, known priority offenders will be targeted and high visibility foot patrols and plain clothes foot patrols will be carried out in and around the town centre to deter and apprehend offenders.

Traffic operations are also starting in and around Brixham, with 'No Insurance' operations running continually throughout the month of December and also 'Drink Driving' operations will be carried out around Brixham throughout Decmber, to keep Brixham's roads safe this Christmas.

The site of special scientific interest that is Berry Head is famous nationwide not only for its involvment in the Napoleonic Wars but also for its wildlife.  Likewise, the famous harbour is now the busiest fishing port in the country and Brixham's strong fishing heritage is very apparent, with the recent additoion to the Quayside of the notable statue dedicated to the fishing community of Brixham entitled 'Man and Boy'.

The town centre holds annual events such as the Trawler Race, BrixFest, Pirate Festival, Christmas Lantern Parade, Fishstock, (Cowtown) Carnival and many more all provide a fun challenge for the local officers.
